Remember me?

Claire blushes slightly as she gingerly taps away on the keyboard,
wondering if her faithful blogger followers will forgive her
for being away for soooooo long!

Well of course you do, we all have to take a break sometimes eh?
I do have many excuses, some of which are actually lies, hee hee, so I won't tell you those ones!

Such as I have been to New Zealand on holiday.

LIE!!!

I won the Lottery and have been busy spending it on farmhouses.

LIE!!!

I've had another baby.

LIE!!!

Busy being me.

YAY!
I like this one.

That's because it's the truth.
Sorry you haven't been involved but you know how it is.

So...

...which out of all the amazing things we've
been up to shall I tell you about today?

How about our
Camping trip?!

Now I must admit this was back in May at half-term,
but here we go.

We go quite often here,
Conwy, North Wales.
Lovely!

Home to the smallest house in Britain.
And also the smallest Welsh lady ever!
Hee hee!

We did plenty of that.

Don't fall in boys!

Hmmmm (ice)cream-teas were in a very cute ice cream parlour!

Fun on the beach!

On the way to Puffin Island.

Finn even had a go at driving the boat!

We saw lots of the lovely little Puffins,
and some cheeky seals,
but the boys and I played a game of
pretending this was really
KONG ISLAND
and he was about to appear any moment and
snatch the beautiful lady away.
(that was my part in the adventure by the way!)
But don't worry, he didn't.  Phew!

Boating.

Very tricky this paddling you know!
Bless!

Archery.
Mummy's go.

Weight lifting!
But Mummy still managed a smile for the camera.

Barefoot trails.
Grubby feet, and thats just me!

Go-karting!

Brotherly love in the castle!

Then back to the tent for tea!
(actually, this was breakfast one day,
hmmmm...
bacon butties, on the
VINTAGE I SHALL HAVE YOU KNOW
camping cooker!
Ha ha, it is so old, I call it vintage,
it's cute and works, so there!!

Shame I didn't get you a good photo of our lovely tent,
with my homemade lovely bunting attached,
and the fairy-lights!
Next time, I promise a piccie of that!

So, there you go!
I'm glad you were finally able to come camping with us,
shame you missed the...

Midnight Bat Hunting
Letting go of Chinese Lanterns
Hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows
(Mummy's hot chocolate tasted rather suspicously of Bailey's!)
Constant sunshine
and lots of happy smilely boys faces!

One more piccie of what Mummy drooled over for ages

One day.........!

A girl can dream if she wants you know!

Thank you for ploughing your way through these snaps,
I'm not that selfish you know,
I always did intend on letting you join in,
it just took me a while to get round to it.

Love C. x

Welcome back claire, looks like you had a fab holiday :) About the smallest house in Britain, did you take any piccies of the inside? Because if you did I would love to see them, also, does that lady live there, or is it just a tourist attraction? xxx

As if we could ever forget you my lovely?
That is a smashing photo of you with the boys!
That cooker is fab and I love it. Bunting and lights, how cool is that in your tent? So does that mean I have to have some too?
Well thats if I ever get a tent that is...x

Melanie, The house is owned by the National Trust (I think) we didn't go inside this time but we have before and you really cannot believe how teeny tiny it is! A family with several children lived there (again, I think) and the inside tells you this on little bits of typed info as you literally turn you head around trying to grasp all the lovely tiny details! The lady just volunteers I think. She just was a remarkably small lady on duty that day ha ha, bless her, it was scorching!

Emma, yes you have to have bunting!!! It's what all the best camping folk have!

Vintage Mum, We all break up from all our different schools in time t=for the flower show at Tatton, I just hope the boys will leave the adventure playground long enough for me to actually look around! Bribery with ice cream will be in order on the day I reckon ha ha, Oh I do hope I can go, I desperately want to go in the Country living tent!

Thanks for everyones lovely comments. ;o)

How is it that so many of my bloggy friends go on holidays to the places I grew up?
I've promised to take the smalls to Conwy Castle this summer, poor things have never been despite both being born just down the road.

Looks like you had a great time. I'm off camping this week - please let the sun shine!

Your holiday looked great! Can't wait to go cmping at the end of the month and one day I shall have a camper van. It'll have to wait for the children to grow up and clear off cos I can't see us all fitting in one.

Your lovely post reminded me of some funny times LOL We took my mum and dad to Conway, we were sitting across the way from the smallest house. My dad wandered over, the lady was talking to someone and he popped his head into the house. He did'nt realise you had to pay and of course the lady explained. My dad just giggled and said 'no point, I've already seen it all'. My dad is always doing daft things. Sounds like a wonderful break.

An aerial view of the Conwy, North Wales, with lots of boats sailing, this is definitely a good snapshot! Who took it? Aww. I felt bad when I saw that kid crying! He shouldn’t get frustrated if he can’t paddle the boat. Maybe not now, but after a while, he’ll grow up and he’ll be able to paddle their boat and take them home safe and sound.
